Hi, I’m Noelle — the maker behind Posh Rois Pots.

 

I live in the North coast of Antrim in Northern Ireland, born and raised in Ballycastle but living in Glenravel in the beautiful glens of Antrim.

 

My pottery journey began during lockdown, at home working with a toddler in tow all day, I needed some time of my own. I have worked in mental health 20+ years, and knew I needed some self care

 

That’s when my husband suggested I dust off my his old pottery wheel, tucked away and forgotten in the shed. 

 

From the first moment I was hooked - the feel of the clay, the rhythm of throwing, and the peace. That old wheel, sitting in my father in laws old shed (now reclaimed by Posh rois pots) became the start of something I never expected: my happy place.

 

The name came from my mum - Roisin. She wasn't posh at all, but we teased her about it, and she really did love to wear hats. She unfortunately passed away during covid, and naming my little shed and pottery journey after her is just a little nod to her, right down to the purple door.

 

From that shed, I handcraft each piece with care and joy. I’m inspired by everyday rituals — a morning coffee, fresh flowers on the table, the quiet comfort of something made by hand. My hope is that each piece from Posh Rois Pots brings a little bit of warmth and calm into your world, just as making them has brought into mine.
